Kamala Harris has reportedly dropped out of the 2020 Presidential Race. In a tweet from her verified account, she detailed her dropout and promised her supporters to keep fighting for democracy.

Kamala Harris was considered one of the front runners early in the race as she took potshots at leaders such as Joe Biden. After the first debate, her polling numbers stood at about 15%. Her numbers have since dropped over a period of about Six months to microscopic numbers. She was barely able to hold on to her spot in the November debate.

While the move comes as an abrupt stop to her campaign, it was predictable as her campaign seemed to be running out of gas. Multiple changes to the race have come in the past weeks with Beto O’Rourke falling out and Michael Bloomberg entering the race. While predictable, Kamala Harris’ exit is likely to shake up the race.
